Performing Arts
Performing Arts Department
The Performing Arts Department prepares students for success in every facet of the performing arts industry. We unite theatre and music programs to offer hands-on training from the very first day on campus.
Students explore a multitude of roles - on stage, behind the scenes, and in production - while gaining experience across diverse areas of study. Our approach provides unique opportunities to develop creativity, technical skills, and professionalism, empowering students to thrive in the dynamic world of the performing arts.
With its 400-seat performance hall, multiple studios, two scene shops, and private lesson rooms, the Shook Theatre Building is home to our theatre and music classes, as well as numerous performances and concerts throughout the year.
Whether you are a young artist at the beginning of your artistic journey, a college student looking to pursue a degree or advanced training in the performing arts, or a community member who has found the arts as a fulfilling part of your life, the Performing Arts Department has a way for you to be involved!
Interested in singing or playing an instrument? You may want to explore our Musical Ensembles and Concerts, including choir, band, opera, and orchestra. Credit and non-credit options are available. Non-credit Private Lessons are also available.
Are you an actor? Check out Center Stage Theatre, Young People's Theatre (for 8-18 year-olds), or the Young Artist Training Program.
Do you wish to join us as a member of the audience? Visit our Arts & Entertainment page for more information or stchastickets.com to purchase a ticket.
