As heating and cooling systems become more efficient, sustainable, and advanced, so
have the skills needed to maintain them. We’ll train you to understand the complex
electronics that power residential and industrial HVAC-R systems, and you’ll learn
to fabricate the mechanical components required to make them run smoothly.
SCC’s Industrial Trades programs teach students in-demand skills to prepare them for
careers in a variety of industry and service sectors. All students complete core foundation
courses in computer hardware/software applications, math, science, CAD, and electronics.
You’ll also complete specialized courses related to your area of interest.
Graduates will be prepared to work as entry-level technicians and can apply their
course credits to future degrees. Students already employed in technical fields can
build additional skills in these programs to advance in their career.
