What Is Economics – Transfer Program A.A.?
This transfer program provides students with a basic knowledge of economics and prepares individuals to continue their education at a four-year university.
This transfer program focuses on the systematic study of the production, conservation and allocation of resources in conditions of scarcity, together with the organizational frameworks related to these processes. Includes instruction in economic theory, micro- and macroeconomics, comparative economic systems, money and banking systems, international economics, quantitative analytical methods, and applications to specific industries and public policy issues.

Per College policy Individual students may be required to take COL 101.
*Social and Behavioral Sciences: Complete one Civics Course (HIS 101, HIS 102 or POL 101) and a minimum of 6 additonal credits from at least 2 disciplines.
** Humanities and Fine Arts: Complete nine credit hours from at least 2 disciplines.
*** Natural Sciences: Complete a minimum of 7 credit hours from at least 2 disciplines, including one course with a lab component.
Check with transfer institution for foreign language requirement. A Bachelor of Arts Degree may require 3 semesters of the same foreign language. A Bachelor of Science does not usually require foreign language.
+ Most universities require three semesters in one foreign language for a Bachelor of Arts Degree (ARB, FRN, GRM, SPN). MAT 210 is recommended for students earning a Bachelor of Science Degree. In addition, the calculus sequence is recommended for students planning to continue on to graduate school.
