The Federal Work-Study Program (FWSP) provides need-based employment opportunities for eligible students on the SCC campus and in the community.

Work up to 19 hours/week when classes are in session and up to 29 hours/week at other times

Community tutoring opportunities available at local elementary schools

FWSP student employees are exempt from FICA taxes
FWSP student employees must:

Be U.S. citizens or permanent residents

Have unmet financial need based on FAFSA results

Be enrolled at least half-time in an eligible, degree-seeking program

Be in good academic standing

Your total work-study award is determined by the information in your FAFSA and other funds awarded to you in a given semester.
How do I apply?
Complete your FAFSA (SCC school code: 017027) and submit an FWSP job application (select Federal Work Study Job Openings). If hired, you will file tax forms with the SCC Human Resources Department.
