Unlike loans, scholarship funds do not require repayment. Awards may cover some or all of the cost of your tuition and books for a single semester or the length of your program. Learn more below about scholarships from SCC and external sources.
SCC Scholarships
SCC offers nearly 50 different scholarships, recognizing achievement and potential in academics, athletics, and the arts. We also offer scholarships to support career training in nursing, EMS, welding and other professional programs, as well as HiSet. The application process requires a personal essay and two letters of recommendation. Applications are due April 1. View all SCC Scholarships>>
Trustee Scholarships
These SCC scholarships are awarded in partnership with area high schools. Up to $1,000 is awarded per student chosen for a Trustee Scholarship. Scholarships can be used for tuition, fees and books.
SCC Foundation Scholarships
More than $100,000 in scholarship awards are made available each year by the SCC Foundation. For additional information and application deadlines see our informational flyer.
Athletic Scholarships
Athletic aid and scholarship are available to select Division I & II program student-athletes. Promising athletes should visit the Athletics Department Office to inquire about scholarships.
Scholarships awarded by SCC can only be used for SCC costs and are not transferrable or refundable. Details on how to utilize and renew your SCC scholarships can be found in the Financial Aid Handbook.

Finish Line Degree Completion Grant Program
Do you have a past due balance at SCC or another institution that is preventing you from returning to school? You might be eligible for the Finish Line Degree Completion Grant Program through Missouri Scholarship and Loan Foundation.
Show-Me to College Scholarship
Show-Me to College Scholarship is for graduating High School Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and a Student Aid Index from the FAFSA of 12,000 or less.
