Greg Munteanu took his dream job as a midday host on St. Louis Public Radio after getting his educational start at SCC.

“I go to work everyday and it doesn’t’ feel like a job,” said Greg. “I love that I get to be involved in events in the community. Radio is a fun and rewarding field to be in.”

Greg spent his early 20s traveling and living on the road with his then girlfriend, now wife. They settled down in Missouri to be close to family. With the support of those around him, he enrolled at SCC to pursue a degree in science.

“I’ve always loved science,” said Greg. “But at some point, I realized I didn’t really see myself making a career out of it."

His interest in media was sparked after he found himself enjoying his public speaking class at SCC.

Greg graduated from SCC and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Webster University’s audio program. “After that, I did an internship at St. Louis Public Radio, which led to a volunteer position, which led to a part-time job, which led to my current full-time position.”

“It’s important to go to school,” said Greg. “I found that if you’re engaged, you’re going to realize your goals.”
