Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the SCC Main Building Room 1123 (campus map).

Services Provided at SCC

As an SCC student, you are entitled to 3 free counseling sessions, per semester through Meta Teletherapy. Students may first meet with the Student Support Case Manager or Office Coordinator to complete an assessment before being referred to the counselor. All counseling sessions are confidential unless there is talk of harm to self or others. 

The Mental Health Counselor can assist with:

  • Stress/Anxiety
  • Anger
  • Depression
  • Grief/Loss
  • Psychiatric Illness
  • Trauma
  • Family/Relationship Issues

Meta

SCC students  have access to  mental health counseling and support services, META. Student can download the mobile application from their smart devices to obtain full service to the application.

META is a mobile application designed to connect college students to mental health providers for confidential and real-time chat, audio, and visual counseling. Students are able to receive mental health assistance anytime and anywhere. To access the full range of features, student will need to register utilizing their SCC email address (@my.stchas.edu)

Yes. Our office is open 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. All students may request appointments and counseling sessions to be conducted either virtually or face-to-face.
