SCC Education Department Honored by Junior Achievement With U.S. President’s Bronze Volunteer Service Award
SCC’s Education Department is one of 65 organizations in the country being recognized by Junior Achievement USA (JA) with a U.S. President’s Bronze Volunteer Service Award. The award recognizes partnership and over 1,000 volunteer hours dedicated to Junior Achievement in 2021-2022.
Dr. Nicole Nunn-Faron, SCC Professor of Education and Education Department Chair, will accept the award during the JA Volunteer Summit, presented by Mercedes-Benz USA, on Tuesday, June 13, in Washington, D.C.
The U.S. President’s Award is a presidential recognition program created by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation for individuals and organizations who contribute a significant amount of time to volunteer service.
Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis submitted the SCC Education Program for this award.
