When students return from Thanksgiving Break on Monday, Nov. 30, all on-campus classes will be moved to the virtual/remote space.
Just as many other colleges and universities across the county, SCC leadership made the decision to enhance the safety of students and faculty who come to campus for classes during what is speculated to be a challenging flu season and an increase in COVID-positive cases nationwide.
This change only affects classes that are currently meeting on campus. Students will meet virtually at the same time and same days of the week as they would if the class was on campus. All other classes will continue with no changes. Finals will continue as scheduled for Dec. 8-14.
Meanwhile, the computer lab in room 116 in the Technology Building will remain open for students until the end of the semester. The Learning Resource Center will also operate under normal hours until Winter Break. The ACE Tutoring Center will move into the virtual space after Thanksgiving Break until the Spring 2021 Semester.
