The 22nd annual area high school math tournament coming to SCC on March 2

In partnership with MathLeague.org, St. Charles Community College will host the 22nd annual area high school math tournament 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2. 

The tournament is open to any area high school student - grades 9-12 - who is interested in participating. 

Registration will run from 8-9 a.m. in the dining area of the Student Center. Testing will follow from 9 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in the Administration Building (ADM). Awards will be given out at 1 p.m. in the Student Center dining area.

Each participant will have a low fee of $1.50, thanks to a Foundation mini-grant.

According to Howe, by hosting the competition, SCC hopes to promote mathematics and STEM, competition among peers, and interest in competing for state competitions. The SCC transfer math department looks forward to this event every year and hopes to pass on the enthusiasm.
