St. Charles Community College and Aerobotics LLC are offering an exciting new Introductory Drone Workshop, UAS 101 - Introduction to Drone Ownership. The workshop will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, and cost $249.

Students will receive valuable information on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations regarding drone operations and other topics such as safety, airspace, weather and more, along with hands-on drone fight and time in the First-Person View Goggles. 

The FAA anticipates as many as 6.12 million drones in the air by 2021, which is an increase of 58.6 percent annual, beginning from 2016. Drone hobbyists and recreational users are expected to triple, while commercial use drones will increase ten-fold, and possibly more.
