St. Charles Community College and Aerobotics LLC are offering two exciting drone workshops this spring: Introduction to Drone Ownership and Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification Prep.
The drone ownership workshop will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 9, and costs $249. The pilot certification workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30, and costs $399. There will be a $10 discount if you register for both workshops. Enter code “Drone19” at checkout for the discount to be applied.
Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification students will be taught about airspace, aeronautical charts, weather, METARS, aircraft loading, airport operations, judgment, decision making, radio communications and more. These subjects will cover the areas of knowledge students must know in order to complete the Part 107 exam.
Introduction to Drone Ownership students will receive valuable information on Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations regarding drone operations and other topics such as safety, airspace, weather and more, along with hands-on drone flight and time in the First-Person View Goggles.
The professional use of drones has increased substantially, and this means job opportunities in this field will increasingly open. Various fields use drones frequently, including real estate, photography, farming, city utilities, engineering, among others.
