The summer session of social dance classes is starting at St. Charles Community College the week of June 25. Classes will be held in the College Center dance studio on the SCC campus, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville. Classes will be held June 25-Aug. 22.
Learn how to swing, rumba, line dance and more with award-winning dance instructors Linda Landwehr and Stan Mayer. The eight-week session costs $50 per person. Students, ages 14 and up, should enroll with a partner.
New this summer, there will be a one-day “Technique, Rhythm, Spins & Turns” class from 11:55 a.m.-2:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, that costs $20. The class will teach proper foot, arm and hand style positions as well as spins, turns and body positions. No partner is required for this class.
Good dancing is a lifetime investment in fun and wellness. It's a great way to get exercise without working out. Dancing will open up a wonderful world of togetherness, and it provides participants with a thriving, year-round social calendar.
