There's no need to be frightened - St. Charles Community College's ninth annual Scary Movie Marathon returns Oct. 23-26, hosted by the SCC Student Activities Office. 

Movies will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 23-24, in the auditorium of the Daniel J. Conoyer Social Sciences Building on the SCC campus in Cottleville. Movies will be shown at 7 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, Oct. 25-26, at Marcus Wehrenberg Mid Rivers 14 Cine located at 1220 Mid Rivers Mall, St. PetersMo.  

Movies at SCC are free and open to the public; movies at Marcus Wehrenberg are free for students and tickets must be picked up beforehand in College Center, Room 102.

In addition to Scary Movie Marathon, Halloween-themed events will be held Monday-Friday, Oct. 23-27, on the SCC campus.

Monday, Oct. 23

11:30 a.m. - Halloween Trivia | Scooter's Place in the Student Center

6:30 p.m. - Annabelle: Creation (2017). This film is rated R. 

Tuesday, Oct. 24

11:30 a.m. - Pumpkin decorating | Scooter's Place

6:30 p.m. - “Horror and Social Justice: Get Our and the African American Experience,” lecture given by Grace Moser, followed by a showing of Get Out (2017). This film is rated R.

Wednesday, Oct. 25

2:30 p.m. - Between the Covers Book Club discusses Things We Lost in the Fire: Stories by Mariana Enriquez    

7 p.m. - IT (2017). This film is rated R.

Thursday, Oct. 26

1:30 p.m. - Zombie Photo Shoot | College Center, Room 102

7 p.m. - Happy Death Day (2017). This film is rated PG-13.   

Friday, Oct. 27

Enjoy free s'mores, hot dogs, games and music at SCC's Bonfire starting at 7:30 p.m. near the Purple Parking Lot.
