From Pinterest to Virtual Reality, Minecraft Modders to Movie Making, Masterchef Cooking to Broadway Musical Theatre Revue and LEGO Robotics Engineering to Blast Off into Outer Space, kids and teens will find something to inspire and motivate them at SCC.
“Each camp explores a topic in depth. It is important for us to keep pursuing students' interests with fresh new camps and returning favorites,” said Amy Fitzwilliam, SCC program specialist. “We hope to be able to spark a student's enthusiasm in new topics and open their eyes to new possibilities in learning and areas of interest.”
This year, CfAK has a co-sponsorship with St. Charles County Parks and Recreation which means six fun new camps at Quail Ridge. Camps include Physics, Flight, Vehicles and Drones, Science Rocks and Kids in the Kitchen. Also new this year, there will be a Glasstastic camp held at Art Glass Array in St. Charles where students will learn all about glass fusion.
College for All Kids summer camps are committed to ensuring child safety. The camp provides a 10:1 safe ratio of students per staff member. All staff have background checks and attend training workshops. Camp assistants all have CPR, First-Aid, and Epi-Pen training.
