“Dr. Zhivegas” will take the main stage at 8:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with SCC Jazz Big Band. At 7 p.m. the rhythm revue hour will include Deja Edwards and Matt Wynn. SCC students Edwards and Wynn are past winners of SCC's singing competition, “SCC Idol,” and Wynn is an SCC Foundation scholarship recipient.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Zhivegas to our campus and our community for our premier event,” said Betsy Schneider, SCC Foundation director of development. “The pride this community demonstrates for SCC is remarkable, and we are especially thankful for the outpouring of support we continue to receive for Rhythm and Ribs.”
Ribs vendors will include Mannino's Market, Ethyl's Smokehouse and Saloon and Stumpy's House of Bar-B-Que. Other fare will include gourmet nachos, hot dogs and veggie burgers by Quintessential Catering. Drinks will include Anheuser-Busch products by Krey Distributing, soda by Dr Pepper Snapple Group, lemonade by Red Robin, water by Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles and wine by Terra Firma USA.
The Main Stage sponsors include Ameren Missouri, Mercy and SSM St. Joseph Health Center/SSM St. Joseph Hospital West.
Volunteers from UPS, a “Rock Star” sponsor, will help with set-up. Other “Rock Star” sponsors include Acropolis Investment Management, Commerce Bank, Enterprise Bank & Trust, Fastlane Convenience Stores, Krey Distributing, NHC HealthCare & Rehabilitation and UMB Bank. Leading the event is a volunteer planning committee chaired by Scott Lewis, St. Charles County sheriff and SCC Foundation board member. Volunteers from the community and campus will also help out, including students from SCC organizations like Phi Beta Lambda, Student Veteran Organization and Phi Theta Kappa.
Tickets are $5 for general admission, which includes entry to the event/live entertainment; $25 for the Music and More package, which includes lives entertainment and food, beverage and raffle tickets; and $50 for the VIP package, which includes unlimited beverages, unlimited food, raffle tickets, reserved seating and live entertainment.
