Returning and new students who enroll in three or more credit hours between Dec. 7 and Jan. 6 will automatically be entered into a drawing to win a three-credit voucher - a $294 value - to apply to their Spring 2016 tuition.
For every three credits enrolled, a student will earn one contest entry. Each person is eligible for a maximum of eight entries.
SCC will award one voucher to four individuals on or around Friday, Jan. 8, 2016.
SCC's regular registration hours are 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday. To register for the spring semester, visit stchas.edu/DiscoverSCC or come to campus during operating hours. No purchase necessary to win; certain contest rules and regulations apply. For details, visit stchas.edu/oneclass.
In addition to quality academic programs, SCC provides support and resources to encourage student success that include financial assistance, scholarship options, a free on-campus tutoring center, veterans' resources, disability support services, career guidance, a child development center and a number of clubs, activities, sports and events.
Many students enroll in general education courses that transfer to a four-year institution, but career degrees and certificates that require only 12-32 credit hours to complete are also available for those wanting a boost in or quick entry into the workforce. Such degrees and certificates are in the areas of art, business administration, business technology, computer science, computer-aided drafting, criminal justice, education, global culture, human services and health care.
Approximately one-third the cost of other area universities, SCC's classes are $98 per credit hour for St. Charles County residents. Tuition is $147 per credit hour for out-of-district, in-state students and $215 per credit hour for out-of-state and international students. Additional student fees apply.
Spring classes begin Jan. 19. (Holiday and other closures, as well as important dates and deadlines are available at stchas.edu/acacal.)
