“Having an SCC-wide book club promotes reading, unique conversations and camaraderie on campus,” said Mandi Smith, SCC student activities coordinator. “It's been such a positive experience so far. We really have created a little book loving community, and I'm excited to watch it grow.” 

Meetings will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Learning Resource Center Information Commons at the dates listed below unless otherwise noted. There will be refreshments and giveaways at each meeting.

Wednesday, Aug. 27
This kick-off meeting will consist of an introductory discussion and a preview of the September book selection.

Wednesday, Sept. 24
Attendees will discuss This Is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper.

Thursday, Sept. 25
Attendees will view This Is Where I Leave You on the big screen. The movie showing time is still to be determined.

Wednesday, Oct. 29
Attendees will discuss Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.

Wednesday, Dec. 3
Attendees will discuss Saga (Volume 1) by Brian K. Vaughan.
