Director Lonna Wilke will hold open auditions Monday-Tuesday, Aug. 18-19, in the theater of the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building on the SCC campus in Cottleville. Center Stage Theatre invites SCC students and community residents to audition.

Callbacks will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20.

“A Streetcar Named Desire” is a Pulitzer Prize winning play that chronicles the last stages of Blanche DuBois' mental break as she steps away from past turmoil and scandal of disillusioned love affairs and attempts to start new by moving in with her sister, Stella, and her average working class husband, Stanley. Immediately, Blanche finds herself further thrust into a world of turmoil.

There are roles for six men and six women.

The performances will be held in the theater of the Fine Arts Building Wednesday-Sunday, Oct. 1-5.
