SALT is a nonprofit-backed resource aimed to help students to take control of their finances and student loans, and the services it provides are free to SCC students and alumni.
In order to be entered in the book scholarship drawing, students should follow three easy steps:
- Sign up for a free SALT membership via saltmoney.org/stchas.
- Complete a “Get Money Smart” module at mymoney101.saltmoney.org.
- Print your “Certificate of Completion” and return it to ADM 1113 to enter the drawing.
Drawings will be held shortly after the submission deadlines. Each semester, prizes include six $50 book scholarships and two $100 scholarships. Students can complete multiple modules for more chances to win. The scholarships are only valid at the SCC Bookstore.
Submissions must be made by Jan. 13 in order to qualify for the spring scholarships. The extended deadline for fall 2014 scholarships is July 1.
