The one-week study tour in Paris will highlight the art, history, monuments and attractions of the city. Open to French students as well as others interested in experiencing French culture, this tour offers an educational and global experience for all.

“This study tour will give students and community members an opportunity to experience historic sites and the culture of France first hand,” said Denise McCracken, SCC French professor. “Instead of being in a classroom, your classroom is wherever you are.”

The tour by itself is from May 29-June 5, and the cost is $2,641 (based on 10 participants). The cost includes round trip airfare from St. Louis to Paris, a full-time French tour director, hotel accommodations, daily breakfast, welcome dinner, all transfers, ground transportation and local guide services. A two-hour guided tour of the Louvre Museum and an Eiffel Tower dinner are available as add-ons to the trip.

There is an option to extend the tour with a four-week study abroad program at the Collège International de Cannes. This program is from June 3-30, and can be added to the study tour. The program offers high quality instruction, comfortable rooming arrangements, a cafeteria and organized activities in and around Cannes.

The cost of the four-week program by itself is estimated at $2,000 (based on a minimum of five students), which includes all course fees, assessment testing, lodging and three meals a day in the school cafeteria in Cannes. Participants must provide and arrange their own airfare and have emergency medical insurance.

The cost of the combined study tour and study abroad program is estimated at $4,349, which includes airfare, all of the items outlined in the study tour, transportation to Cannes, and all of the items outlined in the study abroad program.

Optional SCC credit is available for both programs.

The prices listed above do not include airline baggage fees, meals not mentioned in itinerary, personal spending money and SCC tuition.

The recommended registration deadline is March 8, in order to reserve a spot in either or both of these study programs.
