“We hear about child abuse in the news, but many people don't know much about child abuse, how common it is or what the signs are,” said Lisa Stoner, SCC associate professor of psychology. “Often people don't know what to do if a child is being abused or what happens if they report a suspected case of child abuse.”
In these sessions, participants will learn about the signs and impact of abuse as well as the investigatory process and the current legal implications. In addition, participants will learn about the resources available in our area to help abused children.
