The annual event was sold out for the third consecutive year with 144 golfers.

“We have more students than ever before applying for scholarships,” said Kasey McKee, SCC's executive director of Foundation and Alumni Relations. “It is especially important to us this year, with the current economy, to help as many students as we can to pursue their educational goals and to become successful.”

Charles E. Jarrell Contracting was the presenting sponsor and Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital was the Eagle sponsor. Birdie sponsors were National Sales Company and SSM St. Joseph Health Center. Additional sponsors included Acropolis Investment Management LLC, AmerenUE, Ameristar Casino Resort Spa, Charter Business, Commerce Bank, Dettmer Homes, FastLane Convenience Stores, Heffernan Insurance Brokers, NHC HealthCare and Rehabilitation, Regions Bank, RX Systems, THF Realty Inc. and UPS.

“We are fortunate to have so many partners in our community dedicated to helping students achieve their college dream by coming out year after year to make this event a success,” said McKee.

Stacey Lutgen, training manager at Ameristar Casino, and Seth Peimann, administrator at NHC HealthCare and Rehabilitation, were co-chairs of the planning committee for this year's golf scramble. “Stacey and Seth have been involved with the golf event for the past three years and they are both incredible volunteers. We value their leadership and thank them both for their hard work,” said McKee.
