St. Charles Community College is an affordable, convenient and quality option for your education. At SCC, you know you are getting a degree that’s WORTH IT! In fact, we were named one of the best returns on investment of any college in the country, according to a 2019 Georgetown University study.
Tuition Rates
In-district students are defined as someone whose residence is within the boundaries of St. Charles County.
Excludes: St. Charles County residents who reside and pay taxes in the Washington School District.
Foristell students should confirm with the College's Admissions Office whether their address is within St. Charles County. Students who live in areas of Foristell that are outside the boundaries of St. Charles County will be charged Out-of-District rates.

Missouri resident 65 or older?
- Enroll tuition-free in credit courses (based on available class space)
- Must be 65 or older by Aug. 1 of academic year
- Does not cover books, materials or special fees
- Credit or audit status
- Must meet all prerequisites
To comply with the Missouri Returning Heroes Act:
- Combat veteran tuition limited to $50/credit hour
- Eligibility determined for any program leading to certificate or degree
Combat veteran defined as any person who:
- Served in armed combat after Sept. 11, 2001
- Missouri resident when first entered the military
- Discharged under honorable conditions
To apply:
- Submit a copy of your most recent DD-214 (long form) and Returning Heroes Education Act application to Enrollment Services (Room 1113 in the Administration Building)
- Enrollment Services will determine if you meet the criteria for reduced tuition, and how much, if any, your tuition will be reduced.

When it comes to paying for college, there are many options available to students of all ages – including scholarships, grants and federal financial aid.

St. Charles Community College requests payment at the time of registration. You are financially responsible for the charges on your student account. Please remember, lack of payment does not guarantee that you will be dropped from your registered courses.
