St. Charles Community College will offer two professional development courses for elementary and secondary educators this summer and fall. Eight-week and 16-week sessions will be available for both courses, in online and in-person formats.
- EDU 222 - Educational Technology - Learn how to integrate instructional technology into your classroom through a variety of software programs, presentation technology, telecommunication tools and assistive technology. This course will also focus on social, ethical, legal and human issues surrounding the use of technology.
- EDU 247 - Multicultural Education - You will examine the multicultural context of education and be prepared to understand and teacher students from diverse backgrounds, characteristics and social identities. The course will address issues of educational equity and sociocultural influences on teaching and learning. It will also examine how teachers and schools can contribute to interpersonal and intercultural understanding and respect, social justice and democratic citizenship.
