SCC wants to open dialogue with the LGBTQ+ Awareness and Discussion Series 10-11:15 a.m. Thursday, April 18, and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, April 25.

Series events include:

  • SCC Speaks Freely about LGBTQ+ Awareness
    10-11:15 a.m. Thursday, April 18
    College Center rotunda
    Join student voices in this free-speech style format. Co-sponsored by the Gender & Sexualities student organization and student activities.

  • The Laramie Project
    10 a.m.-noon Thursday, April 25
    FAB theater
    Watch this dramatic performance of the story of Matthew Shepard, a gay man who was beaten and left for dead.

  • Discussion after the Laramie Project
    Noon-1 p.m. Thursday, April 25
    FAB theater
    Post-show “talk back” with director, cast and local LGBTQ+ advocates. Refreshments immediately following in FAB theater lobby. Co-sponsored by student activities.
