Young People's Theatre will hold open auditions for A Christmas Story: The Musical at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the Daniel J. Conoyer Social Sciences Building auditorium on the St. Charles Community College campus. The campus is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville. 

Auditions are open to ages 8 through 18 and will consist of a dance that will be taught, cold readings from the script and a song that will be taught. A one to two minute cutting of a Broadway repertoire song should also be prepared and accompanied by a CD or MP3 track. Children auditioning should bring tap shoes if they presently tap and shoes they can dance in and wear comfortable clothes and must be accompanied by an adult. Callbacks will be Wednesday, Oct. 19. 

The show will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Dec. 16-17; and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 17-18. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at stchastickets.com or by calling 636-922-8233.
