“Anatomy & Physiology” by Kevin Patton, St. Charles Community College professor emeritus, and Gary A. Thibodeau, is a winner of the 2016 Textbook & Academic Authors Association's Textbook Excellence Award.
Patton holds a doctorate from the Union Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio, a Master of Science degree from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, and an Artium Baccalaureatus from St. Louis University. He is a member of the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society, the American Association of Anatomists, American Physiological Society, National Association of Biology Teachers, National Science Teachers Association, American Federation of Teachers, Text and Academic Authors Society and the Authors Guild.
The Textbook Excellence Award recognizes excellence in current textbooks and learning materials. Six textbooks received this award.
These prestigious awards will be presented during an awards luncheon at Textbook & Academic Authors Association's (TAA) 29th Annual Authoring Conference in San Antonio, Tex., June 24, 2016.
According to TAA's website, the organization provides a wide range of professional development resources, events and networking opportunities for textbook authors and authors of scholarly journal articles and books.
