After getting his educational start at SCC and going on to complete a four-year degree, Munteanu landed his dream job as a midday host on St. Louis Public Radio.
“I go to work everyday and it doesn't feel like a job,” he said. “Radio is a fun and rewarding field.”

Registration for fall 2015 credit classes is underway at SCC. Regular registration hours are 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday.
Everyone who registers for fall classes between now and July 31 will receive a free SCC T-shirt.
The last day to pay for classes is Monday, Aug. 3, to ensure those students who have already registered do not have their classes dropped for non-payment. The Cashiers Office will be open through 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3. In-person registration will be closed on Tuesday, Aug. 4, and will reopen on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
SCC offers educational opportunities for first-time college students, transfer students and returning learners, as well as high school juniors and seniors who want to get an early start on taking college classes.
In addition to quality academic program, SCC provides support and resources to encourage student success that include financial assistance, scholarship options, a free on-campus tutoring center, veteran's resources, accessibility services, career guidance, a child development center and a number of clubs, activities, sports and events.
Many students enroll in general education courses that transfer to a four-year institution, but career degrees and certificates that require only 12-32 credit hours to complete are also available for those wanting a quick entry into the workforce.
“It's important to go to school,” said Muneantu. “I found that if you're engaged you're going to realize your goals.”
