Beginning in September, learn how to swing, rumba, line dance and more with award-winning dance instructors Linda Landwehr and Stan Mayer. The classes will be in the College Center dance studio on the SCC campus, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville.
Instructors Landwehr and Mayer are former professional champion dancers with more than 25 years experience in dance competition and instruction.
Dance instruction is available in various dance forms, including foxtrot, waltz, rumba, swing and tango for all skill levels, ages 14 and up. The spacious dance studio has a floating wood dance floor, mirrors and air conditioning.
Registration for the eight-week social dance classes, held one night each week, is $50 per person. Enroll with a partner.

Sundays, Sept. 7-Nov. 2
- Ballroom I (foxtrot, waltz, rumba, East Coast Swing): 12:55-1:55 p.m.
- Imperial Swing Basic I: 2-3 p.m. (beginners)
- Ballroom II (foxtrot, waltz, tango, rumba, East Coast Swing): 3:05-4:05 p.m.
- Ballroom IV - Amalgamation of Dance: 4:10-5:10 p.m. (advanced students only)
Mondays, Sept. 8-Oct. 27
- Ballroom II (foxtrot, waltz, tango, rumba, East Coast Swing): 5:50-6:50 p.m.
- Ballroom I (foxtrot, waltz, rumba, East Coast Swing): 6:55-7:55 p.m.
- Ballroom IV (bolero I): 8-9 p.m.
- Line Dance: 9:05-10:05 p.m. (no partner required)

“Spins, Turns and Techniques,” a special, one-session class, will be offered noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, and is $20 per person. Students will learn the proper foot, arm and hand style positions as well as spins, turns and body positions. This class is for students who have already taken a social dance class at SCC.
Students who have taken a previous class with Stan and Linda may also participate in four-week mini-sessions at $25 per person. The mini-sessions run Nov. 9-Dec. 11.
