The exhibition opening will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 30, including an awards ceremony at 7 p.m. and a chance to meet the artists.

The show includes select student artwork from the SCC visual arts program chosen by this year's visiting juror, Carlie Trosclair, an installation artist from New Orleans, La., who lives and works in St. Louis. 

Trosclair earned an MFA from the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, a BFA from Loyola University New Orleans, and is a Fellow of the Community Arts Institute (Mo.). 

In addition, Trosclair has completed residencies at ACRE (Wis.), Vermont Studio Center (Vt.), Chashama (N.Y.), and the Luminary Center for the Arts (Mo.). 

Troslcair has been recognized for her work with the Riverfront Time's Mastermind Award in 2012, Creative Stimulus Award in 2013, Regional Arts Commission Artist Support Grant in 2013, and the Great Rivers Biennial in 2014.
