“Next Year's Man of Steel” is set in 1940 when a struggling and opportunistic writer, Everett Gardner, is given the chance to make a mark in the still infant comic book industry. All he has to do is create a hero, which turns out to be more difficult than he expects. Everett learns that heroes can arise in the most unexpected places.
There are roles for three men and one woman.
The performances will be held in the theater of the Fine Arts Building Wednesday-Sunday, April 23-27. There will be a high school matinee at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 24.
