The softball game is a fundraising event that will start a disaster relief fund to help SCC students affected by the recent tornado and other disasters such as fire and flooding.
There is a $5 minimum donation requirement to attend and larger donations are welcome. Checks may be made payable to the SCC Foundation.
There will be a 50/50 raffle and other raffle items up for grabs during the game.
“So far we have gift certificates to local restaurants like Sherlock's, VB Chocolate Bar, Kokomos Bar and Grill, Cottleville Wine Seller and more,” said Kelley Pfeiffer, student activities manager. “Also, if we raise more than $1,500 by the fourth inning, there will be a special performance by one of the players.”
The game will be held at the St. Charles Community College softball field, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville. Spectators may enter at the North Entrance on Mid Rivers Mall Drive. The closest parking available is in SCC's Orange lot.
Tickets are now available for purchase in the Campus Services Building, Room 103, or the College Center, Room 102. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
