Karen Jones, SCC professor of English and coordinator of assessment and planning for the English Department, is a recognized teacher and a leader in shaping student assessment at the local, state and national level. She was an influential member of a statewide task force to re-establish general education policy and also played a primary role in initiating and establishing the college, which today is celebrating its 25th anniversary year.
Brenda Lowder, SCC Foundation Board president and broker/associate with Coldwell Banker Commercial, also was honored. She has served on SCC's Foundation Board for 12 years, including work as co-chair for SCC Foundation events. In her job as a real estate professional in the St. Charles and the St. Louis metropolitan areas, she specializes in the sales of land and land assemblages for commercial and residential development.
