Open auditions for children ages 8-18 are at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building theater on the SCC campus in Cottleville. A parent must be present during the audition process. The auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and a basic song and dance routine that will be taught.

In this classic and much beloved play, Christmas Eve finds George Bailey deeply troubled. Prayers for his wellbeing from friends and family reach heaven. Clarence Odbody, Angel Second Class, is assigned to save George and earn his wings. A funny and poignant musical that will touch the hearts of all ages, George and his family remind us of the value of simple acts of kindness.

“It's a Wonderful Life” will be performed in the theater of the Fine Arts Building at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Dec. 16-17, and 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 17-18.
