Renee, who specializes in holistic Egyptian-style dance and tours internationally, will take part in a performance along with other local dancers at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, in the auditorium of the Social Sciences Building at SCC. Dinner will be served before the performance at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the dinner and performance are $22.50 each. Tickets are $7.50 for the performance only.

Renee will also conduct a total of four workshops, through the SCC Continuing Education Department, over a two-day period, including:

  • “Egyptian to the Core” Body Philosophy/Technique Tidbits for Egyptian Oriental Dance: 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Sept. 17
  • Embrace Your Mistakes: 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17
  • Fancy Footwork: Combinations in the Style of Mahmour Reda: 10 a.m.-noon Sunday, Sept. 18
  • Art of Improvisation: Choreographing on the Spot: 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18

There is an early bird registration special available until Aug. 19, in which each session is $45 each, or $160 for all four. After Aug. 19, prices will increase to $50 per session or $180 for all four. Lunch is also available for an extra $7.50 per day. The workshops will be in Room 203 of the College Center on the SCC campus.
