Ronkoski, of Cottleville, has 28 years of experience in the public safety/law enforcement profession, with a comprehensive background in police work. Prior to joining SCC, he worked for 20 years with the City of St. Ann's Police Department. Ronkoski is licensed and certified as a full-time police officer by the Missouri Department of Public Safety, Police Officers Standards and Training Commission. He has a Master of Science degree in criminal justice administration from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice administration from Columbia College of Missouri. In addition, he is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the Missouri Police Chief's Association, the Law Enforcement Officials of Greater St. Louis, and the American Society of Industrial Security.

MACLEA was established in 1992 to serve small college and university security departments by giving them training and networking opportunities. The organization facilitates the exchange of knowledge on common issues, such as training, standards, and legislative actions that face all Missouri college security and law enforcement departments. Richard Banahan, chief of police at St. Louis Community College - Forest Park was elected vice president of MACLEA; Daniel Pesold, director of public safety at Webster University was elected secretary; Paul Banta, chief of police at St. Louis Community College - Meramec was elected treasurer; Clarence Green, chief of police at Northwest Missouri State University is the past president.
