Through well-crafted lessons, expert online instruction and interaction with fellow
students, participants in these courses gain valuable knowledge at their convenience.
“Teaching Preschool: A Year of Inspiring Lessons” will show preschool teachers how
to develop creative and well-balanced preschool lesson plans for every month of the
school year.
“Introduction to QuickBooks 2010” is designed for the small to mid-sized business
owner who enjoys Quicken's ease of use, but prefers a more traditional approach to
accounting. Craig Power, veteran adult educator and small business owner, will teach
you how to use this well-designed program to gain control of your finances.
“In these courses, students have the flexibility to study at their own pace combined
with enough structure and support to complete the course,” said Yvonne Wills, dean
of corporate and community development at SCC. “Plus, they can access the classroom
24/7 from anywhere with an Internet connection.”
New sessions of each course run every month. They last six weeks, with two new lessons
being released weekly (for a total of 12). The courses are entirely web-based with
comprehensive lessons, quizzes and assignments. A dedicated professional instructor
facilitates every course - pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback and
facilitating discussions.
