Students attended three 25-minute sessions on topics of their choice taught by SCC
business and social science faculty. After attending the classes, students reconvened
for a pizza party with friends.
Session topics included accounting, anthropology, business, business administrative
systems, computer science, child care, criminal justice, economics, education, human
services, marketing, multimedia and Web design, psychology, sociology and the A+ program.
“Due to the current economic crisis, there has never been a more critical time for
graduating high school juniors and seniors to have accurate career information,” said
Jill Riethmayer, dean of business and social sciences at SCC. “This Career Fair gave
students an opportunity to be exposed to a significant number of careers that are
available, and also introduces them to St. Charles Community College as a place to
begin that training.”
The career fair is sponsored by the SCC Business and Social Sciences Division, SCC
School-Business Programs and Mid Rivers Tech Prep Consortium. For more information,
