Students attended three 25-minute sessions on topics of their choice taught by SCC business and social science faculty. After attending the classes, students reconvened for a pizza party with friends.

Session topics included accounting, anthropology, business, business administrative systems, computer science, child care, criminal justice, economics, education, human services, marketing, multimedia and Web design, psychology, sociology and the A+ program.

“Due to the current economic crisis, there has never been a more critical time for graduating high school juniors and seniors to have accurate career information,” said Jill Riethmayer, dean of business and social sciences at SCC.  “This Career Fair gave students an opportunity to be exposed to a significant number of careers that are available, and also introduces them to St. Charles Community College as a place to begin that training.”

The career fair is sponsored by the SCC Business and Social Sciences Division, SCC School-Business Programs and Mid Rivers Tech Prep Consortium. For more information, contact Riethmayer at 636-922-8607.
