Young children ages 4-6 will experience “Seuss on the Loose” in a week of painting,
drawing, reading and rhyming or go on an “Animal Adventure” to create lions and tigers
and bears, oh my! Other themed classes feature reading, art and music. Participants
will enjoy their first experience on a college campus, participating in age appropriate
classes and recreation.
Kids ages 7-12 will engage in a battle of brain over brawn in “Lego Engineering/Battle
Bots” or test their physical and mental abilities in SCC's version of “Survivor.”
They may join the Mad Science Bureau of Investigations to sniff out forgeries and
fakes or enroll in “Extreme Art Academy.” They'll learn hip hop dance, how to build
a rocket, explore photography and much more in a variety of camps designed to stimulate
curiosity and motivate kids to achieve their highest potential.
Soccer camps for kids ages 5-12 will be offered by the SCC men's and women's soccer
coaches, and held on SCC's collegiate size soccer field.
Middle and high school students (up to age 16) will have a chance to decide if they're
on Team Edward or Team Jacob in “Twilight: Morals and Vampires.” This camp will explore
their creativity in art, writing and drama. “Camp Glee” will give them a one-of-a-kind
musical experience based on the hottest TV show sweeping the nation. Learn to dance
and sing by a professional director and choreographer and participate in a performance
at the end of the program. Become an “Eco Explorer” and spend your days outdoors and
dirty with the St. Charles County Parks department staff. Join Percy Jackson and his
friends as mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus walk straight out of
the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook right onto the stage!
