Trustee Fine Arts Scholarship - Journalism

Award Amount: Cost of tuition for fall and spring terms at in-district rate only

The Board of Trustee Fine Arts-Journalism Scholarship is a full tuition waiver scholarship (cost of tuition for fall and spring terms at in-district rate only) provided to one recipient who expresses interest in the field of Journalism. The award will go to a student who has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on their most recent transcript or must have a score of 2700 or higher on the GED Exam or score of 68 on HiSet exam. The student also must have a score of 23 or higher on the ACT. Recipients must enroll in at least two JRN or COM courses each semester, including the Newspaper Practicum (JRN 280, JRN 281, or JRN 282) each semester.

Students who are A+ eligible and/or have 72 completed hours are not eligible to receive this scholarship.

To be considered for the award you need to have a recommendation from the Student Media Advisor, Lee Ann Nelson, after submitting your application. This is different than a reference on the application.
