SCC to Hold Open Auditions for "Night at the Wax Museum"

Published: 08/06/2010

The hysterical meets the historical in this comic romp through the wackiest wax museum in history. Six high school students have to retake a failed history class during their summer break, and their class project is to help set up a new wax museum. Though their eyes glaze over with boredom, there’s a twinkle in the wax figures’ eyes as they mysteriously come to life. The magic of history literally comes alive as the students and wax figures find themselves on a wild goose chase to find a hidden treasure.

Open auditions for children ages 8-18 are at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building Theater on the SCC campus in Cottleville. A parent must be present during the audition process. The auditions will consist of a song and dance routine that will be taught. There will also be cold readings from the script.

“A Night at the Wax Museum” will be performed in the theater of the Fine Arts Building at 7 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Oct. 15-16, and 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 16-17.
