SCC to Host Debt Awareness Week Activities Oct. 5-8

Activities during the week will help students become more financially aware and debt savvy.  Presentations will teach students about credit, handling money, investing, and avoiding debt.  All events will take place in the auditorium of the Daniel J. Conoyer Social Sciences Building on the SCC campus in Cottleville.  The event is free and open to the public.
 
DEBT AWARENESS WEEK SCHEDULE:

Noon Monday, Oct. 5:  “Banking Basics and Your Credit Score,” a presentation by Charles Donaldson, financial center manager for Fifth Third Bank.
 
1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6:  “Mobile Banking and New Baking Technologies,” a presentation by Charles Donaldson, financial center manager for Fifth Third Bank.
 
6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6:  “Credit 101,” a presentation by a representative from National City Bank.

1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8:  “Investing for College Students,” a presentation by James Rotter, vice president at Commerce Bank.
