SCC and St. Charles Historical Society to Present Family History Workshop Nov. 7

The workshop, presented by SCC and the St. Charles County Historical Society, will consist of four sessions relating to different aspects of genealogy.
 
The workshop’s keynote speaker will be Patricia Walls Stamm, C.G., C.G.L., a researcher, writer, lecturer, and genealogical instructor.  Stamm teaches various genealogical sessions at St. Louis Community College and is a faculty member at Samford University’s Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research.  She also serves on the St. Louis Genealogical Society Board and chairs their education committee.
 
Registration fee for the Family History Workshop is $25 for general registration, $20 for society members and SCC faculty and staff, and $10 for SCC students. An optional catered lunch is available for $8. Registration is required; contact the Social Sciences Division at 636-922-8398 or Joan Koechig at 636-946-2820 or gateway426@aol.com with any questions. For priority registration, call by Thursday, Oct. 15.
 
Registration forms for the event are available in Room 1104 of the Daniel J. Conoyer Social Sciences Building on the SCC campus.
 
The workshop will be held in Rooms 205-206 of the SCC Student Center. The college is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville.
