22nd Annual Democracy Days Sept. 19-22

St. Charles Community College will host its 22nd annual Democracy Days Monday, Sept. 19-Thursday, Sept. 22. The events are open to the community at no cost.

“The U.S. Constitution and the Insurrection of Jan. 6, 2021” is the keynote address, by Gregory Magarian, Thomas and Karole Green Professor of Law at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. His address is Wednesday, Sept. 21, 11:30 a.m., in the auditorium of the Social Sciences Building.

Held annually around Constitution Day on Sept. 17, the interdisciplinary forum examines the history, health and functioning of democracy in America and abroad. The forum includes a variety of speakers, panelists and film screenings covering topics such as constitutional rights, capitalism and democracy, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and more.
