Center Stage Theatre will present their production of “Catch Me if You Can” July 23-28 at St. Charles Community College in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building theater.

Performances will be held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, July 23-27, and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 28. SCC students are able to attend the play for free with SCC ID. The general public can purchase tickets for $5-8 at stchastickets.com. The campus is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville. 

This musical is based on the book by Terrence McNally, featuring music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Marc Schaiman and Scott Whittman.

Based on the hit film and the true story, “Catch Me If You Can” is a high-flying musical comedy about chasing your dreams without getting caught. Seeking fame and fortune, precocious teenager, Frank Abignale Jr., runs away from home to begin an unforgettable adventure. With nothing more than his boyish charm, a big imagination and millions of dollars in forged checks, Frank successfully poses as a pilot, doctor and lawyer - living the high life and winning the girl of his dreams. When Frank's lies catch the attention of FBI agent, Carl Hanratty, Hanratty pursues Frank across the country to make him pay for his crimes.

The cast includes Ryan Farmer, Chandler Spradling, John Lemon, Tricia Wallace, Brittany Kohl Hester, Emily Smith, Dane Harris, Benni Jillette, Scott Theis, Gage Whitehurst and Jacob Baxley.

The ensemble includes Nick Elieff, Rachel Halicks, Lauren Reagan, Jennifer White, Brooke Stephens, Austin Stephens and Cara Faries.

This performance of “Catch Me if You Can” is produced by special arrangement with Musical Theatre International, Inc. Lynne Snyder, assisted by Angela McNeil, assistant director, and Cameron Bopp, assistant choreographer, will direct and choreograph the performances. Musical direction will be provided by Jon Garrett. Set and lighting design will be created by Jeff Roop. Jane Bagnall will provide costume design. Bri Beames is the stage manager for this musical.
