Center Stage Theatre is holding a casting call for “Catch Me if You Can” at St. Charles Community College. There are 7 roles for men and 3 for women, with a very active singing and dancing ensemble.

Vocal/acting auditions are 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, and Wednesday, May 22 - attend one night only. Dance auditions are 6 p.m. Thursday, May 23. All auditions are in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building theater. Callbacks - by invitation only - will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23. Performance dates are July 23-28.

Auditions are open to the community. Bring sheet music, and be prepared to sing 16 bars of a contemporary musical theatre or pop song. Monologues are encouraged but not required. A copy of the script is available at the SCC library. You may also be expected to read from the script.

The play is based on the book by Terrence McNally, featuring music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Marc Schaiman and Scott Whittman. 

This performance of “Catch Me if You Can” is produced by special arrangement with Musical Theatre International, Inc. Lynne Snyder will direct and choreograph the performances. Musical direction will be provided by Jon Garrett, and scene design will be created by Jeff Roop.
