Our purpose is to provide quality athletic programs that allow all teams to compete for championships in the Midwest Community College Athletic Conference and the National Junior College Athletic Association. St. Charles Community College also has quality athletic facilities – including baseball, softball and soccer fields, basketball courts and a fitness center and more – for students, faculty, staff and the surrounding community to enjoy.

St. Charles Community College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and competes at the division I level in all four sports. All four Cougar teams are members of the Midwest Community College Athletic Conference (MCCAC) which includes: East Central College, Jefferson College, Mineral Area College, State Fair Community College, St. Louis Community College-Meramec, and Three Rivers Community College.

Scholarships are offered to select athletes and open tryout sessions are available for walk-ons in each sport.

SCC baseball and softball teams have been competing in intercollegiate play since 1997. Both men's and women's soccer were introduced as NJCAA competitive sports in 2009.

Since 1999, a number of baseball Cougars have moved on to four-year colleges and universities and even the minor leagues.
