Black History Month has been celebrated annually in February since 1976 and celebrates African American
achievements and recognizes the central role of African Americans in United States History. The St. Charles
Community College’s African American Faculty & Staff Association (AAFSA), the SCC Library (LRC), and the Office of Student Life
wants to recognize Black History Month and will be holding several themed events Feb. 6 - 28.
Come along with SCC faculty, staff, and students to experience and embrace the region's rich and enduring African-American heritage. After which, we will dine at Li’ Mickey’s BBQ. This is a free event. by reservation only – due to limited seats on the bus. that is limited to fifty (50) participants.
