"Transcendence” Life, Death, and Rebirth"
Featured Repertoire includes:
- Alleluia: an instrumental version of a sacred choral work, this beautiful piece is orchestrated and conducted by our own Ken Litton
- Release: composed and conducted by SCC’s own Prof. Travis Evans, this tone poem is intensely emotional and moving.
- Symphony No. 5, “Reformation” by Felix Mendelssohn, is a favorite of the orchestral literature. Containing numerous musical references of the sacred variety, the most obvious reference is heard in the final movement: "A Mighty Fortress is Our God.
Join us at 7:30PM in the FAB Theater on May 4, for an evening of transcendent music that will feed your soul!
